A change in pet nutrition may be recommended because in Chinese traditional medicine, an improper diet can be an important contributing component of a disease, and the institution of a proper diet can be part of treating a pet’s disease.  Depending on the pet’s condition, this may involve a complete change in diet or merely supplementing what a pet is already receiving by the additional of meats and vegetables.  In some cases, it may necessitate a home-made meal and/or feeding frozen or freeze dried raw diet.
